BioI am married and have two kids. My husband and I have been married nearly two years but we have been together for 10 and a 1/2 years. Well I'll begin with a smidgen of moi.....
My week is pretty hectic with two kids. My eldest is in primary school and my youngest in kinder and along with the daily grind of washing, cleaning, cooking (wow I sound like an everyday Betty Crocker), etc, I like a little down time. So I will introduce the segment intitled "Kellie's quiet time and the things she enjoys doing when she gets the chance to chill out, when her husband has taken the kids into another room or taken them to good old McDonald's for a happy meal". I will create a list of the things I enjoy doing:
1.Relaxing on the counch with my favourite movies: mean girls (us chicks can relate to high school bitchiness), eddie murphy's raw (I have watched it a million times and still LMAO!!), the crow (true love is powerful and it's my and my husband's movie like how couples have songs. Yeah well this is our movie).
2. Listening to some tunes: 80's pop music (I love it!!), Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Stone Temple Pilots, The Cure, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire. There is a few more but I can't think of them at the moment.
3. TV is another good relaxant. My fave shows are: medium (without a doubt. I am an addict), family guy, Saturday night live, Kath and Kim and I love re-runs of Twin Peaks, Beverly Hills 90210 and melrose place.
4. And girlie stuff is another good one: colouring hair, painting toe nails, etc.
The things I really like in people are honesty (never sugar coat anything, just tell it like it is), people that are themselves around you and don't have to act a certain way to be liked and the other thing I really like is a good sense of humour. One thing I do not like in people is pettiness. I have had friends who would crack the shits over the smallest things and wouldn't talk to you for weeks, obviously it made them feel better. And these are people who are in their 20's. I don't have time to play games, I already have two kids and I'm certainly not counting on anymore. I am the type of person that if there is something you don't like about me then STIFF! I am the way I am and I am certainly not going to change for NOBODY!! To the people that get to know me will find out yes I joke around and like to have a laugh just like the next person but I am very serious about the friendships I make and if friends need me I'm there 110% all the way.
I will just point out though, that along with making friends I am a very family orientated person and my family is the be end and end all of me. I am the biggest protector of my kids and would do absolutely anything for them. They are my heart and soul and the air I breathe. My husband is my best friend and I love him ultimately. He is there for me through thick and thin and as I am for him.
I am really excited about live journal and hopefully I get to meet alot of cool people along the way. Well I think that's about it for me and hopefully that is enough info for ya to get a taste of the kind of person I am.
